The Geneva Auto Show in mid-March will see the debut of the Lexus LC 500h, a new hybrid from Lexus that will feature a next-generation multi stage hybrid system, as well as a new platform. The LC 500h is a fluid, sporty coupe with aggressive styling and a V8 engine, which is a unique combination when paired with its innovative hybrid technology.
The multi stage hybrid system combines traditional aspects of a gasoline engine with a powerful electric motor, as well as a lithium-ion battery. The electric motor provides smoother acceleration, while the engine allows the car to go from 0 to 100 km/h in under five seconds.
Based on the LF-LC concept that was shown last year, the LC 500h is built on an all-new platform that offers a sharper driving experience with more refined handling and a more dynamic, engaging driving experience. A variety of enhancements have been made to improve balance and eliminate extra weight, among other changes.
